Megan + Kevin : Married!

Little did Megan know on her first day of college at Ball State, that she would meet the man that would be her husband. Things didn’t start right away, but time (3 years) eventually led these two to begin a relationship. Kevin asked Megan to be his wife in the Magic Kingdom by the castle on spring break. Megan has supported Kevin through finishing grad school. Their fairytale started a new chapter as man and wife this past Friday.

These two are incredibly in love and had the most perfect wedding day. Sun, blue skies, sweet chapel, family and friends, great food and fun dancing! Megan looked amazing in her dress and Kevin beamed with excitement after seeing his bride. They summed it up well at the end of the night, when they asked if it really had to end. They had such a wonderful time.

Everything went off so well due to the hard work of excellent vendors:
Event Planners: Black Tie Events
Venue: Ritz Charles
Video: Indy Visual
DJ: Jim Cerone
Flowers: Painted Daisy

I hope you lovebirds are enjoying your cruise!

Courtney + Justin = Married!

After 9 years of being together, the time was finally right for Courtney and Justin to tie the knot. After what was quite a rainy stretch last week, Saturday cleared up nicely to be the beautiful day these two deserved.

The day started in Terre Haute at the Rave Aveda salon where Courtney had won a complete bridal pampering from a bridal show! Courtney and her mom (who lives in Florida) got gorgeous at the salon. Back in Rockville, the church was already busy with people getting ready for the ceremony. Props to this group, who were actually more than punctual, even early! Courtney looked just amazing as Justin gazed at her from the front of the church. Justin’s grandpa, filled with joy, officiated the ceremony. After a bubble exit, we were able to have some fun with pictures at the golf course next to the reception site. Justin’s mom was the coordinator and cook for the food and it was a delicious spread.

Courtney left no detailed over looked and the whole day had personal touches to it. It is really neat to see people’s talents come together for a special day such as this. Congratulations to Rosedale’s newlyweds!

Manasa & Avinash

Words couldn’t possibly describe this wedding! Manasa and Avinash were an amazing couple with fabulous personalities. I loved how emotional and joyous the day was for all involved! I was so fortunate to be able to help document this amazing event for Jessica Strickland. You can see her fabulous work from the day at her blog. Also part of this fabulous photo team was Shelly Valentine, who I adored working with. With so much going on in one day I couldn’t imagine not having three cameras going at all times. Enjoy all of the color and beauty!

Favorite Wedding Things 08

I wanted to share some of the things that stuck out to me as very neat or unique about weddings I shot this past year. Even though I shoot weddings over and over again, it stays fresh to me because of all the little things that couples do to make it their own, the emotions of the day, the stories of the couples, and different locations/seasons. Maybe you will find some inspiration if you are planning a wedding right now. Here’ just a few neat things to share…

Photobucket

Fancy shoes.

Photobucket

Fabulous bridesmaids dresses. And ladies who pulled them off like rock stars.

Photobucket

A fake cake! (it was styrofoam) It was a huge reception 600-700, so they had massive amounts of sheet cakes. Can you even imagine how big a cake would be that would feed 700?

Photobucket

A precious poem to the bride from mom and dad.

Photobucket

A best man ready for duty.

Photobucket

The groom’s sweet ride and getaway car. (really his)

Photobucket

More of that tricky cake.

Photobucket

A bride that made her own jewelry. (too cool Amanda!)

Photobucket

Cute and practical favors. Location appropriate. (Golf Resort)

Photobucket

Bringing back lace.

Photobucket

Their dads made this structure for the ceremony. What a sweet team effort.

Photobucket

Throwing lavendar instead of bubbles/petals/etc. It smelled amazing!

Photobucket

Honeymoon ready footwear.

Photobucket

Kelly being a featured bride in Carmel Magazine.

Photobucket

A very custom wedding shower gift.

Photobucket

Dad marrying his son. (the first of his six kids, in his old congregation)

Photobucket

I love flower petals! (threw red ones at our wedding)

Photobucket

The pre-honeymoon fridge.

Photobucket

Delicious food at the Hilton North.

 Favorite Wedding Things 08 elaineimages/09-02-13%20wedding%20things%2008/ParkerWedding0001.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" />

A “wow” dress.

Photobucket

A cake topper statement.

Photobucket

Beautiful sugar flowers on the cake. (my brother’s wedding)

Photobucket

Bedazzeled initial cake-toppers. (my maiden name was Reid, so I was partial to the R)

Photobucket

Ice-sculpture.

Photobucket

How can Hallmark top that wedding card? Too cute.

Photobucket

A very fitting shot for an athletic and competitive pair.

Photobucket

Table cards that contained flower seeds.

Photobucket

A butterfly release during the recessional.

Photobucket

Part of the engagement story.

Photobucket

A little stop for some putt-putt. I’m not at all joking when I say the groom got a hole-in-one the first shot! It was his lucky day. (props to Lauren)

Photobucket

Hot day, cool refreshment upon leaving the church. Cold water tastes so good to me on wedding days.

Photobucket

A wedding/couple logo. It was spotted several places.

Photobucket

Unique pins chosen for each bridesmaid’s bouquet. The pig one is not offensive, it’s a 4-H/country thing.

Photobucket

The shoes of the twin flower girls. (nieces of the bride) They loved getting ready with the big girls at the hotel and riding in the limo!

Photobucket

Bridal breakfast of choice. Einstein’s bagels seen at more than one wedding this year.

Photobucket

The bride’s bag. Everything important to wedding day success in one bag.

Photobucket

A message for the bride and groom left by a creative table of guests.

Photobucket

They did indeed bobble and roughly resemble the couple.

Photobucket

Vibrant flowers, spotted at several weddings.

ZimmerlyWedding0548 Favorite Wedding Things 08 "0" alt="Photobucket" />

A custom kids activity book for the reception.

Photobucket

A balloon release on a beautiful day!

Photobucket

I just love this shot.
