What a glorious wedding day Lauren and Shawn had. It was so pleasant, full of sunshine, a sweet couple, loving friends and family. Lauren is the the youngest of three sisters so her family totally had the wedding thing under control. Every thing was thought of, everyone was taken care of. After a short engagement they got married in the stunning White Chapel on Rose Hulman‘s campus in Terre Haute. The ceremony was sweet, personal and gave all the glory to God. After the ceremony we enjoyed the beautiful weather while we took some pictures. The reception at Idle Creek was full of beautiful details, good food and conversation. The newlyweds took off for their honeymoon, which was a surprise to Lauren! I hope you guys are enjoying your last few days in Mexico! All our love and best wishes for a wonderful life together.

On Saturday May 30th, after Megan and Kevin’s sweet Friday wedding, we headed out to Terre Haute for Tim’s brother’s graduation. Tim and his brother (and two cousins) have been PIKES at Rose. Tim and I met my senior year at ISU so I spent quite a bit of time over at the PIKE house. Graduation tradition for PIKES means riding their firetruck in their caps and gowns into campus for commencement. Tim and I barely made it on time to get pictures of this fun. Yes, I was taking some pictures out the window as we driving by them. Although long, it was a great graduation that really celebrated the achievements of the students. Part of the day is the faculty lining the walk to the graduation while applauding the class. Governor Daniels gave an excellent commencement speech that encouraged this group of bright thinkers to challenge themselves and society (including politicians). David had quite the fan club with representatives from both sides of the family. He will be moving up to northern Indiana for his new job in a few weeks and we are enjoying having him close by for now.

I also included in this post one of my former grooms as he graduated as well. Good luck Clarissa and Brandt as you start life in Lexington, KY. The cute girl with David is his girlfriend Megan which we all enjoy having around! (yes, two Megans + two brother = a little confusing, but double the Megan fun!)

What a gorgeous weekend! The weather was simply amazing Saturday for Lauren and Shawn’s engagement session. I was in Terre Haute for my brother-in-law’s college graduation and since Lauren and Shawn will be making their home together there, it worked out perfectly to do their engagement session in the afternoon. We actually started out where Shawn proposed to Lauren just a few weeks ago, his backyard. They are an incredibly sweet couple, who are joining as man and wife in just two months! I know it will be a great wedding of a great couple. At the end of the session we found this amazing field to take pictures in, I was LOVING it!!! The beauty of nature and love combined!

Buttry001 1 Laura & Rileys Wedding
Laura and Riley are my current “feature couple” on my website, so you can read more about their wedding there, but I wanted to include a few more of their awesome pictures in my new blog. Their wedding favor was actually a chocolate coupe that was custom made by Riley’s parents to be the exact same model as Riley’s Chevy coupe. What a personal touch to the wedding!
