“When I opened my eyes this morning, I felt like a bride,” Stephanie exclaimed while getting ready at The Garrison Inn. Maybe that was in part because she had already been a bride at a multi-day wedding event in India earlier this spring. Today, though, was her American wedding, which she had been anticipating for over a year and a half!
This American wedding was also a special event for Divesh’s parents, as it was their first trip to the US. They did find some familiar faces in Stephanie’s family, who could not stop talking about the beauty of the Indian ceremony. Many of Divesh’s family that lived throughout the US also made the trip to celebrate their American union. With the beautiful Fort Harrison Golf Course as a backdrop, Stephanie and Divesh they made their vows in an outdoor ceremony.
After over a year of planning, the wedding day was finally here for Angel and Sean! Fall had come and the crisp breeze could be felt outside. The couple shared their vows on the grounds of the Vincennes Memorial with the banks of the Wabash just beyond.
While the groomsmen spent part of their morning setting up a tent for the bridal party to wait in, the ladies opted to stay in a heated truck until the ceremony. Colored paper globes hung from trees as guests were seated to the sound of a harp. The front row was packed full of parents and grandparents who clearly loved and supported the couple.
