Something that I love about my job is the ability to meet new people and learn new things through them. While Saturday morning was a little chiller than I had hoped for Kim and Gabe’s engagement session, a cup of Starbucks before we started sure helped.

Gabe was able to clear up some of my confusion about the art of fly fishing and I was able to pick both of their brains on gardening. They both love to be outside and it was fitting for us to go to River Road Park, close to where they live. Kim and Gabe have been a committed item for many years now, but are looking forward to tying the knot it a few short weeks surrounded by their family and friends.

Kaleena and Eli had an amazing wedding that I was fortunate to photograph for them in the spring of 2008. Well these high school sweethearts are expecting their first addition to their family later this month! I was so excited to do these pictures for them, as it’s always great to catch up with past couples. Kaleena has to be the cutest pregnant person ever, seriously! She rocked the camera with baby belly and heels.

Even though it was quite hot and very sunny, we had a great shoot. After all that hard work we all enjoyed some milk shake deliciousness from 96th Street Steakburgers. If you haven’t had one of their shakes, you’re missing out on something great!

What a gorgeous weekend! The weather was simply amazing Saturday for Lauren and Shawn’s engagement session. I was in Terre Haute for my brother-in-law’s college graduation and since Lauren and Shawn will be making their home together there, it worked out perfectly to do their engagement session in the afternoon. We actually started out where Shawn proposed to Lauren just a few weeks ago, his backyard. They are an incredibly sweet couple, who are joining as man and wife in just two months! I know it will be a great wedding of a great couple. At the end of the session we found this amazing field to take pictures in, I was LOVING it!!! The beauty of nature and love combined!

After 9 years of being together, the time was finally right for Courtney and Justin to tie the knot. After what was quite a rainy stretch last week, Saturday cleared up nicely to be the beautiful day these two deserved.

The day started in Terre Haute at the Rave Aveda salon where Courtney had won a complete bridal pampering from a bridal show! Courtney and her mom (who lives in Florida) got gorgeous at the salon. Back in Rockville, the church was already busy with people getting ready for the ceremony. Props to this group, who were actually more than punctual, even early! Courtney looked just amazing as Justin gazed at her from the front of the church. Justin’s grandpa, filled with joy, officiated the ceremony. Surrounded by wonderful supportive women Nicci got ready for the big day she had been waiting for. The last two years have been full of planning weddings for the women of her family as her sister got married just 7 months ago. The whole day you could just see the excitement Nicci had to be married to Kevin. As far as groomsmen set ups I’ve seen, these guys had it made. They were hanging out it the youth loft, complete with a Wii on an overhead projector. Saturday was just beautiful with blue skies and sunshine, deceiving for how cold it was. Right as the sun was setting Nicci and Kevin said their vows in front of family in friends in the chapel of their church home. After the ceremony the celebration began …
