Paratroopers came with our place ...]]> My younger cousin Tyler, celebrated his recent marriage to Alli last weekend. The previous weekend they were out in Sedona Arizona, where they got married in a beautiful old Spanish Chapel with just their maid of honor and best man by their side. They enjoyed a week of honeymoon before coming back to the Midwest for a reception with family and friends. Alli & Tyler are both serving in the military. They actually first crossed paths during jump school, which they were at the summer Tim and I got married.  Thanks to Facebook they re-connected while Tyler was serving overseas and have been so in love since he returned stateside.

Confetti cannons throughout the crowd that exploded at the New Year, as ...]]> Andrea and her mom did an incredible job incorporating every detail for their New Year’s Eve wedding in downtown Indianapolis.  Just a few things that stuck out to me:

They made their vows before God in a full catholic mass at Andrea’s home church in Brownsburg, St. Malachy.  Andrea and her father shared some sweet moments before he walked her down the aisle. 

In between the ceremony and reception, we stopped at St. Elmo Steakhouse (where Michael proposed to Andrea) for a few photos.  As the sun set, the lights on the IPL building at Monument Circle turned into a giant red heart for Andrea and Michael.  Andrea’s dad works at IPL, and it was the perfect surprise for guests as they arrived and looked out the 10th floor windows during the cocktail hour.

To get things officially started ...]]> Andrea and Michael rung in the New Year in a big way, celebrating their wedding reception at the beautiful Columbia Club in downtown Indianapolis.  New Year, New Life.  Everything was classy, shiny and joyful.

They made their vows before God in a full catholic mass at Andrea’s home church in Brownsburg, St. Malachy.  Andrea and her father shared some sweet moments before he walked her down the aisle.

To get things officially started at the reception, Michael popped the champagne per the Columbia Club tradition. Andrea did an amazing job planning the evening.  In between each course of food, a different wedding tradition took place, and the guests really seemed to enjoy themselves.

By the time dinner was over, the dance floor was ready for a crowd, and the band entertained a full dance floor all night with a great variety of music.  As the end of 2011 ticked closer, everyone put on New Year’s attire and a big screen turned on to show the ball drop in New York City. 3 – 2 – 1 BOOM! RING! RING! Confetti cannons explode…music is playing…people are kissing…and the alarm clock table numbers all go off at the same time! What a way to celebrate a New Year – surrounded by all of your closest friends and family on such a joyous day!

Andrea and Michael you are an incredibly sweet couple, and it was our honor to share in your wedding day and celebrate the New Year with you.  Congratulations on a New Year with a new life together!

Family history.  That is why we value wedding albums.  They tell your story,  your beginning of your new family.  At the end of your wedding day you have your marriage, which is what it’s all about.  However, from the wedding day itself, it’s your wedding album ...]]> I remember sitting in my grandpa’s recliner, looking through their wedding album.  As a young girl, I couldn’t have imagined my grandparents young and at their wedding.  Grandma looked gorgeous and her waist was itty-bitty. Grandpa looked so tall, handsome and had a full head hair!  Their reception was actually at a home that is still in the family today (where my grandmother grew up).   They can look at the pictures and tell me who all the people are around them.  Family members I know and those that I never got the chance to meet.

Family history.  That is why we value wedding albums.  They tell your story,  your beginning of your new family.  At the end of your wedding day you have your marriage, which is what it’s all about.  However, from the wedding day itself, it’s your wedding album and memories that remain.  We focus in designing albums that tell the story of the day, the emotions, the important people the places.  We strive to have timeless, authentic images that tell the story of your wedding day.  We want not only you as a couple to cherish your album, but also those generations to come.

Life after college has taken Jamie and Steven away from their Indiana homes and led them to New York City.   Coming back to Indianapolis for their wedding, they were able to celebrate with dear old friends and the newer friends they have in New York.  That is one thing I think is incredible about weddings, that for one day you get to be surrounding by all the people that you love and love you.

Jamie and Steven opted for a First Look at the Statehouse before their evening ceremony.  The giant Statehouse was unusually quiet as I walked in with Jamie.  She was able to take a deep breathe, realize that this ...]]> Location, location, location.  It didn’t take long after they first met for these college neighbors to turn into a couple.  Seven years later, they still light each other up.

Life after college has taken Jamie and Steven away from their Indiana homes and led them to New York City.   Coming back to Indianapolis for their wedding, they were able to celebrate with dear old friends and the newer friends they have in New York.  That is one thing I think is incredible about weddings, that for one day you get to be surrounding by all the people that you love and love you.

Jamie and Steven opted for a First Look at the Statehouse before their evening ceremony.  The giant Statehouse was unusually quiet as I walked in with Jamie.  She was able to take a deep breathe, realize that this was it, the day she had been looking forward to for so long.  Jamie looked the part, a stunning classic bride that fit perfectly with the setting of the Statehouse.  Steven eagerly and anixously waited upstairs as his bride got closer.  Their reactions to seeing each other was one of the most emotional and excited I have witnessed.  Jamie, a girl who is usually content with a ponytail and a bit of mascara, caused Stephen’s jaw to drop when he laid eyes on her as his bride.

As the sun went down on a perfect fall day, the celebration began at the Central Library.  A beautiful cake stole the show in the center of the dance floor.  Hugs, laughs, drinks and dancing filled the night.  The library, while stunning on it’s own, looked incredible transformed into their reception room.   The details fit together wonderfully and I’m excited to share them soon.
