Welcome Katie | Newborn Sweetness

Betsy and Jason welcomed home their first child Katie (Sarah Kathryn) just a few weeks ago.  I shot her newborn session at only 4 days old!  She was a complete trooper and wasn’t fussy at all.  It was such a joy to see how much her parents light up around her.  It’s pretty incredible the emotions one itty bitty baby can evoke.  These two will be incredible parents, not afraid to ask questions and ready to love really well.  We couldn’t be happier for you both!  Katie is precious.

Expecting a Great Thing | Maternity

Betsy and Jason are dear past clients of mine.  They were married within a year of Tim and I on the following St. Patrick’s Day.  On their wedding day Butler was in the playoffs (before it became the norm), green beer was flowing and Betsy had created a beautiful reception of pink and black at the Palomino Ballroom. They’ve lived in Tennesee and moved back home to Indiana, bought and renovated a house, and added two adorable dogs to their family along the way.  Before their little one arrives, they wanted some pictures of their family before baby.  It’s clear that their cute dogs, Reese and Paisley are a very loved (maybe even spoiled) part of the family.  Hopefully, they’ll adjust well to sharing their home and parents with a sweet baby girl in just a few more weeks.

We’re so …

Ian | Broad Ripple Newborn

25th August

Our friends Chris and Melissa welcomed their firstborn son on August 15th and couldn’t be any more in love.  He is all things wonderful about a newborn – tiny, cute, snuggly, curious and soft.

We happened to see both Chris and Melissa Saturday and Sunday before Ian was born.  They were eagerly awaiting baby’s arrival as the due date came and past.  When we got a text saying they were at the hospital at 7:55 Monday, several of us gathered to pray for a safe arrival.  By the time I woke up to feed Jonathan at 2am, I had an email announcing “It’s a Boy”.  He was born at 10:41 that night.  Not shabby for a first baby (and a stark difference from my 2 day labor event!).

Ian is settling well at home, meeting the two cats that previously ruled the …

Kate | Indianapolis Actress Headshots

I was very excited when Kate contacted me about doing updated actress headshots for her.  It’s fun for me to mix up what I shoot every now and then.  Kate was getting ready to enter the acting arena again after taking some time off to focus on schooling, marriage, other work and having a sweet baby boy.

Before the shoot Kate visited EyeMax down the street from me to have picture perfect makeup.  We had such a good time picking outfits and getting several looks.  I love that we didn’t have to walk more than 2 blocks from the gallery for any of these shots.  I love being in Broad Ripple Village!

Best wishes to Kate and her acting endeavors.

Tara & Brad | Love in Downtown

Tara and Brad wanted to capture this special time in their relationship.  Their love is still new and they are too cute together.  Despite getting rained on a few times, we had such a fun portrait session in downtown Indianapolis.
