Last weekend I enjoyed a wonderful time with my house church up in Lake Michigan.  Such a beautiful place to relax and connect.

Every now and then I get to take on a unique assignment.  I spent part of a day capturing the beautiful work that Eric Jensen does.  I photographed at just one home, but one that had a variety of his masterpieces in it.  All of his designs are completely custom, one of a kind.  Each little piece of tile is hand cut.  Truly incredible craftsmanship.  Enjoy seeing what I little Jensen creativity can bring to a kitchen, bathroom, or an outdoor living space.

Many thanks to Eric for creating tile work in my bathroom that while, “boring” to his standards, exceeded all of my hopes.

He’s here.  The much awaited arrive of my friends Jess and Matt’s little one!  You might remember their expecting session just a few weeks ago.  Jess spent the last 2 months of her pregnancy on best rest just waiting for Easton to make his appearance.  He totally melted my heart,  his little dimple on one side and hilarious posing.  As most newborns do, he had a bit of a breakdown mid-session but pulled it together to get some shots with mom and dad while he was mellowed out.  I think being pregnant myself makes me have a harder time narrowing down what to put on the blog, so enjoy all this newborn goodness!

Stephanie and Victor tied the knot in the place they have spent the majority of their relationship together, West Lafayette.  It all began before school even “officially” started at Purdue their freshman years.  Some are lucky enough to run into “that one person” between moving into a dorm and going to their first class.  Victor is one of the most polite gentleman types I’ve met, but yet loves his motorcycle.  I love that about this couple, they are dynamic personalities, genuine people and crazy in love.

They shared their vows during a full mass at the beautiful St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Lafayette.  After the ceremony, we had time to stop by campus for a few relaxed photos before heading to their reception at University Plaza Hotel.  Stephanie’s fun color choices filled the room with cheer.   To get things started all previous and past members of Purdue’s musical groups sang the blessing.  Their first dances were emotional with live music provided by family friends.  Joel with Track7 DJ kept the dance floor packed the entire night.  Their friends and family came to celebrate all out!  Steph and Victor had their dancing shoes on as they changed into some Converse kicks.

The newlyweds, set out for their honeymoon exploring in San Fran and Napa Valley.  They are making their new home together in St. Louis after saying goodbye to Purdue.  Best wishes for a lifetime of love you two!

While I don’t typically do many extended family sessions each year, earlier in the summer I had the chance to photograph the Bonewitz and Walker family.  They each had special reasons for the shoots.  For the Walker’s their grandma was making her visit from Germany to meet her new great-grandson.  The Bonewitz clan was getting together from all parts from Chicago to Seattle.  The cousins were getting a chance to play with each other and get spoiled by grandma!

I realize these posts are super late in making it to the blog, but the morning sickness and exhaustion of my first trimester took away from my blog time.  Enjoy these families and the love they share!
