Letitia + Ryan: Engaged

After several years of being together, Letitia and Ryan are tying the knot this fall. We had a great time walking around the canal and White River State Park. It’s such a gem of the city.

Paper Time

For those of you brides out there who are planning their weddings, you know it’s all about the details. The little details that make the day uniquely yours and pull it all together. Wedding stationary does just that. There are so many wonderful ideas and designs out there, the possibilities are endless! I wanted to introduce you to Oliver’s Twist, an adorable invitation shop located in Clay Terrace in Carmel, IN. Kristyn had done the stationary for my good friend Jessica’s wedding back in the spring of 2007. Since then her business has grown to offer many wonderful products and personalized service. Oh, and if you are not in the market for wedding invitations, they also offer great custom stationary and cards too.

Jenny + Evan : Married

Evan and Jenny had such a great wedding day, it was a total joy to share in it. Evan is one of the fabulous DJs at DJs Direct. Jenny actually met Evan at a wedding he was working. Fast forward about two years and you have a lighthearted fun couple who’s seriously in love with each other. Both of them totally light up the room with their outgoing personalities.

The ceremony was at this sweet and simple country church, Refuge Christian Church, that’s just down the road from Purgatory Golf Course where the reception was. Jenny & Evan are both teachers and during the summer, Evan stays busy with weddings and Jenny keeps all the golf players hydrated as the bartender at Purgatory. Oh, and Evan coaches high school golf and loved being on the course in a tux. The picture of them putting, they really nailed that shot. Be impressed. All of Jenny’s co-workers were there and having a good time while running the event. Evan’s “boss” Jeremy from DJs Direct was both a groomsmen and DJ for the night. Last year this same weekend, I was photographing Jenny’s older brother JR’s wedding to Julie. (who are expecting their first little one around Christmas!) With all of that in mind, I knew this would be a fun wedding, I was not wrong. These two are hands down the best dancers I have seen. The whole dance floor was packed the whole night long. There’s so much more I could say, but I know Evan and Jenny are anxious to see some photos, so here they are… Hope you two are enjoying Mexico!!!

Vacation

A few weeks ago Tim and I enjoyed a week vacation on the beach in lovely Mexico. On Thursday my parents joined us and we enjoyed 4th of July together in Mexico! It was wonderful to be away and just spend time together. Tim enjoyed playing volleyball everyday (see action shot below). I made a step in the right direction about conquering my fear of fish by snorkeling through a very busy reef. I also had an iguana or two that enjoyed frightening me as I walked by. Tim took the awesome sunrise pictures. The one with the tractor on the beach made me laugh. But alas, the sun, fun, long naps and fruity drinks must come to an end.

Rikki + Josh = Married in Mexico!

On Tim and I’s fabulous vacation a few weeks ago in the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, we ran into Rikki and Josh who were at the resort getting ready for their beach wedding at the end of the week. They were having an early afternoon wedding on the beach with just close family and then having a special dinner with their families later that evening, so sweet and intimate. Since I had not yet had the opportunity to shoot a couple on the beach (I did shoot a wedding in Costa Rica, but it was mainland) I had asked them if they wanted to have a little fun with me and the camera the afternoon of the wedding. For about 15 minutes we had a little mini-shoot where I got to try out a few ideas. Here is a look of what transpired. (check out that fluffy white sand and perfect day)

Thanks so much Rikki + Josh for being so in love and letting me photograph just a little of it! Best wishes on married life back in the states!
